You'll be expected to do many things around the home, but your primary responsibility is the child or children you have been assigned to. We'll be expecting you to shine using your arts and crafts skills, reading, writing , singing and dance - while preparing nutritious meals, and cleaning it all up when it's over.
During Care you'll avoid:
Use of Social Media at all times
Use of television or computers unless so directed by your family
Losing your Professional Image
Complete your Introduction within 30 minutes via Text Message to your family and ask for Special Instructions (if any)
Caregiver - Send a text message to the "Preferred Contact Number" provided in Team Up Calendar New Case Assignment.
Ensure the following information is included in your TEXT Message:
Your Name/Agency
Your dates of assigned care & times
Reference the names of the child/children and ask if there are any "Special Instructions"
Feel free to ask questions about activities or schedules that you may have
Send a message to your client, reminding them you'll be coming the next day. Remember - families forget to cancel care, or maybe your schedule has been changed.
This is a great time to get any further special instructions from your client!
Keep Current and let us know if changes occur
Prepare your lunch, clothing, house shoes and activities to bring to the home.
Changes occurring? Communication is key - send a chat message to your scheduling team immediately to update them on changes - including traffic, car trouble, no answer at the door, and any questions you may have -
Show your ID. Cover any sensitive information such as your home address with your finger if needed and be prepared to receive your instructions for the day.
After meeting the children make sure you get instructions and info from your Greeter to complete your tasks for the day.
Complete your Daily Report and send a copy to your family as .pdf document printed from your email
Respond quickly to our messages; and to notifications from you calendar of changes that have been made - Cases do not last forever, and if you fail to respond to a message from Scheduling within 20-30 minutes, the case has already been booked elsewhere.
Keep your calendar updated; keep your changes 24 hours out and beyond if at all possible.
When changes do occur, communicate first with your team, rather than "texting your family"; we'll handle the changes from our end and make sure your family is being notified before you begin chatting them up.
Always reach out with any questions or concerns by contacting your scheduling manager; she'll respond immediately and help get things resolved quickly and simply
Avoid at all times situations requiring your cancellation with less than 24 hours in advance; repeated "same day cancellations" can result in suspension
You are a Professional in a very important Industry! As an Anytime Employee always present yourself as a professional caregiver
Body jewelry is preferably removed before care, and tattoos should be covered by clothing when at all possible. This avoids cancellations.
Ensure that your dress is appropriate and ready for floor activities, arts, crafts, or a day outside
Use those skills! Your caregiving skills will include soothing angry babies and toddlers who do not want mom and dad to work in the office! bring your bag of tricks for distracting angry babies
Plan activities based upon the age of charge; whether it's singing, reading bedtime stories, or making playdough.
Make your family's "Special Instructions" your first priority - if you have questions - ask them upon arrival, or via text when your case is assigned.
Be prepared for your day, respect the dietary restrictions of your clients by not violating them with items in your lunch, bring all that you need into the home upon arrival.
After each assignment your family will be sent an evaluation with the following focus areas and will be asked to rate you on the following areas:
